Oak Ridge Heating

Heating Services in Oak Ridge, NC

If any part of your heating system is over ten years old, it could probably do with a maintenance call – if not a full replacement. There is not much chance of it putting out the heat that it used to – and it is most definitely not running as well as a new one could. If your heating system has never been serviced – and it’s over ten years old – then it may seem expensive to change it, but believe us, the money will come back to you in savings pretty quick.

How Do You Know When It’s Time to Replace Your Heating System?

  • Different rooms in your home have completely different temperatures
  • Your family is no longer comfortable in your home
  • Your furnace is loud and/or makes strange noises
  • Your furnace has been repaired more than twice in the past year
  • Your energy bills have risen in the past few months

If you can relate to any one of the above be sure to call us. We will always strive to find the most economical solution and we will never pressure you into a more expensive fix when a less expensive one will do.

Furnace Efficiency Options

It really is a simple equation: 80% efficient furnaces waste 20% of the gas you pay for. 98% efficient models only waste about 2% of the gas you pay for. The only discernible
speed-bump on the road to high-efficiency is the issue of installation. The high-efficiency units that we install have two CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) vent pipes. The older, less efficient furnaces only have one steel exhaust pipe. The new two-pipe system is safer but running the pipes can sometimes involve some minor construction. Don’t worry, we always clean up after ourselves and we strive to be as quick (but as thorough) as we can.
